The Government of Greenland is the central port and ISPS authority in Greenland. The Government of Greenland has transferred ownership and operation of port facilities in Nuuk to Sikuki Nuuk Harbour A/S. Sikuki Nuuk Harbour A/S is the local functional port authority and is responsible for ISPS in dedicated ISPS-facilities in Nuuk.
Sikuki Nuuk Harbor A/S owns port facilities in Nuuk consisting of:
1.1 Umiarsualiviup Qeqertai (Admiralitets Holmene/Containerterminal).
1.2 Qeqertaq Avalleq.
2. Umiarsualivik (Skibshavn), which is divided into Yderhavn (Outer Port) and Inderhavn (Inner Port).
4. Nuup Saava (Godthåb Red).
Certain facilities in Nuuk is owned and operated by other stakeholders and consist of:
2.1 Oilpier for tankers, belonging to Polaroil.
2.2 Dinghy jetties in Vester Vig, operated by Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq and NAPP.
2.2. Shipyard quay and slipway facilities belonging to Nuuk Værft A/S.
3. Marina in Iggiaa located to the N on Umiarsualiviup Qeqertai (Admiralitets Holmene) belonging to Godthåb Bådforening.
The Port of Nuuk operates several docks, piers and pontoons.
Container terminal
Construction of the new container terminal began in 2015 and terminal, buildings and cranes are operated by Royal Arctic Line since completion in September 2017. The container terminal provides 310+50 meter quay, two mobile harbour cranes and over 40.000 sqm of container area, including 500 reefer plugs. |

Ny Atlantkaj
Ny Atlantkaj was until the opening of the Container terminal the primary port facility in Nuuk. Ny Atlantkaj is today used primarily for trawler operations and cruise vessels during the cruise season (June-September). |

Feederkaj
Feederkaj is an old timber construction from 1969. Feederkaj is used for smaller Cruise vessels / Expedition Vessels during the summer period and is also used as berth for Trawlers and Navy Ships. |

Gl. Atlantkaj
Gl. Atlantkaj is the primary berth facility in the Inner Port. The construction is built in four steps from 1952-1955. In 1969/70 the original construction was extended with an additional 100 meters of quay. The construction is an open steel pile structure with a load-bearing concrete slab on top. The depth decreases from north towards Øster Vig in south. The Tidal Stairs and pontoon is located in the southern end of Gl. Atlantkaj. |

Skonnertkaj
Skonnertkaj was built back in 1953 and was later extended in 1970-71. The berth structure is a part open and a part closed structure made in both steel and timber. Skonnertkaj is primarily used by Arctic Umiaq Lines coastal ship, Sarfaq Ittuk. But it is also used by contractors and Navy Vessels. |

Montagekaj
Montagekaj is a closed sheet pile structure constructed in 1974. It is placed adjacent to the Ship Yard and is often used for vessels undergoing repairs and maintenance. Due to its size and location Montagekajen is not suitable for large loading and unloading operations. |

Kutterkaj
Kutterkaj is an open timber pile construction made in two steps between 1964 and 1970. Due to a failure caused by an ice build-up back in 1983 a part of the timber construction was replaced with a strong steel pile construction. Kutterkajen is primarily used by smaller vessels with Nuuk as their home port. It is also used by visitors staying for short periods of time, mainly in the summer months. It is possible to connect to shore power through one of the BEAS installations located along the pier. |

Trawlerkaj
Trawlerkaj is a closed timber construction from 1967. It is as Fiskerikaj primarily used by smaller fishing vessels and line boats. At Trawlerkaj the vessels have the oppotunity to connect to shore power through one of the BEAS installations. |

Sissiugaq - Old Nuuk
The old port in Sissiugaq - Old Nuuk is no longer in use and is primarily a recreational area in the old part of Nuuk close to the cities museums. The tidal stair is occasionally used by local hunters and the local kayak (Qayaq) club. In the southern end of the timber and ashlar construction from the 17th century Sikuki Nuuk Harbour has a pontoon used by local tour operators. |
