Kutterkaj

Kutterkaj is an open timber pile construction made in two steps between 1964 and 1970. Due to a failure caused by an ice build-up back in 1983 a part of the timber construction was replaced with a strong steel pile construction. Kutterkajen is primarily used by smaller vessels with Nuuk as their home port. It is also used by visitors staying for short periods of time, mainly in the summer months. It is possible to connect to shore power through one of the BEAS installations located along the pier.
